What happens to your figurine in the print room
Once you approve the sketch, your figurine leaves the computer and goes to the print room. Here is what happens during the next 9 hours.
1. Preparing the file
The sculptor exports the model, hollows thick parts to save resin and adds tiny supports so overhangs like chins, ears and swords print cleanly.
2. Printing layer by layer
Our resin printers cure each 0.05 mm layer with UV light. A 15 cm figurine has about 3,000 layers and takes around nine hours.
3. Washing and curing
The fresh print is washed in a cleaning bath, then cured under UV light so it becomes hard and stable.
4. Removing supports and sanding
We clip the supports one by one and sand every contact point by hand, so no marks are visible after painting.
