How to brief a custom figurine (with examples)

Hand painting

A good brief saves a round of edits and gets you a figurine that looks exactly like the picture in your head. Here are the details our sculptors look for first.

1. Who or what it is

Name the subject and add something personal: “my golden retriever Bella, 9 years old, slightly grey muzzle”.

2. The pose

Sitting, standing, running, a favorite habit. If you have a photo of the exact pose, attach it.

“Head tilted to the left, like when she hears the word walk.”

3. Colors and clothes

Describe the colors you want us to keep and anything that should change from the photo.

  • Fur or hair color and markings
  • Clothes, collars, accessories
  • Base color or a name on the base

4. Size and finish

Not sure? Pick “Not sure” in the form and we will suggest the best size for the level of detail.

5. The date

If it is a gift, tell us the date — we will plan production around it.

Ready? Start your order — it takes about five minutes.
